Welcome to Footprints
"Footprints" is a group organising walking events around the country; day walks, weekend breaks and longer holidays in the UK and near continent. New members are always welcome. Our age range is typically late twenties to late forties, but this is not exclusive with "attitude" being more important than years!
This website explains more about the club including write-ups of some of our recent events and complete local walks and national events programmes. We also have an extensive selection of photos so you can see us and share our enjoyment of the countryside. Footprints organises a regular programme of local walks in the Northern (the Peak District and North Wales northwards) and Southern (London and the South East and South West) areas of England. We supplement these with a year-round programme of weekend breaks and longer holidays in the UK and Europe. Accommodation for weekend and longer events is arranged at country houses, guest houses, youth hostels and bunkhouses.
We try to move these events around the country as far as possible; locations recently visited include the North Yorks Moors, Lake District, Norfolk coast, Mid-Wales, Yorkshire Dales, the Wye Valley, Shropshire, the New Forest, the Peak District and Snowdonia.
